The Tourism Office at the Municipality of Permeti announces that the number of tourists who have visited Permet from January until the end of October was around 37 thousand, of which 15 thousand were foreign and 22 thousand locals.

Albanian Development Fund  in support of tourism, supply diversification and highlighting of the city’s potential, is developing the works for the “Integrated Urban Regeneration” program.

The intervention consists of:

  • Urban Regeneration of the Historical Centre,
  • Rehabilitation of the canal slopes of “Perroi i Bardhe”,
  • Rehabilitation of public spaces,
  • Extension of the boulevard and central streets in the city,
  • Touristic signage and tourist interpretation.

Considering the increased attention from tourists, apart from the direct beneficiaries of residents (around 50 000), the investment aims to shed light on the “Old Permet”, by harmonizing the traditional sphere with the modern one. Let’s not forget that the nature monuments, which surround this place (from the Vjosa Valley, curative waters of Benja and the Langarica Canyons) and complete tourist package even more, turning it into a must-see destination.
