Towards completion systemization of Cameria Street and the city ring road in Kavaja
In the last years, Kavaja District experienced significant social and economic development, which indicate a promising and sustainable future of the area. Taking into account its development in recent years but also as a necessity of the time, the realization of the project for the arrangement of the Cameria Street and the city rings facilitates and shortens movement time for both pedestrians and vehicles.
In close cooperation with the Albanian Government, Albanian Development Fund through this investment aims to increase security, access and improve quality of life for residents. Moreover, the realization of the project will protect and promote values of the area as well as it opens a new path for revitalization of new economic activities and urban area.
As a city with a great tradition in handicrafts, the intervention enables the sale of products at local market as well as in the region, including products of clay, glass, carpets etc. Taking in consideration the past, the area was known for its production in heavy industry but also it has been paid less attention to the coastline, which now will be revitalized with the improvement of infrastructure and its interconnection with other areas.
Currently, the area close to the coastline is well known for a considerable number of economic activities and its significant touristic potential, which noticeable will affect further economic development and its diversification. While it is improved connectivity and infrastructure close to the residential area, in order to give priority to the coastline, this investment promotes the increase of business activities in terms of services and accommodation capacities such as hotels, restaurants, markets, etc., where there is an ever-increasing demand.
