Towards completion reconstruction of Roskovec – Poshnje road
At the construction site of the new road “Roskovec - Poshnje”, workers are carrying out and making last reviews as they are successfully concluding another axis, which facilitates traffic for residents, farmers and businesses of Berat, Roskovec and Fier.
Through the financing of the World Bank and the implementation of the Albanian Development Fund, the intervention comes at the right time and season, considering connection of the whole region of Berat with the South of Albania, Fier and Vlora and also creates a faster entry lane for markets of domestic products.
The rehabilitation of infrastructure immediately reduces time and costs. In this way, it gives a hand to many young people in the area to focus on agriculture, livestock as well as agritourism, taking into account its rich area and picturesque landscape.
At the same time, it should be emphasized that road widening and best construction standards have positive impact in terms of increase on vehicles and pedestrian’s safety.

The investment length is about 13 km and the road starts in Roskovec close to reservoir and ends at the intersection of the Berat – Lushnje road at the Poshnja Roundabout. The whole segment crosses Roskovec, Strume, Kutalli, Rerez up to Poshnja Roundabout.
The Albanian Development Fund has continuously given a specific focus on regional development. Through this investment, the numerous tourism potentials are highlighted in Berat and Fier region, expanding the tourist offer in both regions and enabling a sustainable economic and social development.
