Albanian Development Fund in support of sustainable economic development
The Xara village in Konispol, which is located in the southern part of Albania, leads the production of citrus in the country. There are counted about 500 ha of cultivated land with different varieties of orange, tangerines, lemons and citrus.
The total amount of production is about 30 thousand tons annually and 20 thousand of them are exported abroad.
According to the Export Center in Vlora, 500 tons of tangerines were exported during the 20 days of October 2021, to Kosovo, Northern Macedonia and Ukraine.
The Albanian Development Fund project on “Rehabilitation of the Economic Ring of the Municipality of Konispol, Lot II” has positively facilitated on movement of vehicles and increase of transport in the area.
In the framework of the Development Project, "Improvement of road infrastructure in order to develop tourism and agritourism in Region 4" investment developed, which was implemented by the Albanian Development Fund.
