Urban requalification of Ballsh city center
The intervention includes the Boulevard "Rrapo Hekali" as well as the road branch that connects it with the axis of the national road. This object lies in the city center and is dominated by numerous commercial units positioned on both sides of the main road
The interventions consist of:
- Unification of urban space between buildings
- Unification of the road and sidewalks, turning its central part into a pedestrian zone
- Greenery and open spaces for pedestrians
- Lighting on both sides of the road. This would increase the mobility even during late hours, thus increasing social events.
The primary goal of this project is to increase the value of the area and turn it into a pedestrian and recreational area for residents. The treatment of the ground floor facades and the upper floors along the building will also be completed , thus unifying the facades. Furthermore, a great attention is given to urban furniture so pedestrians can be accommodated in the building.
This area has a high population turnover and will give this area a new breath, as the only boulevard in the city and will significantly improve the quality of life of residents. The new, attractive image as well as the pedestrian area will bring an increase of businesses in the area.
