"Revitalization of historical areas, Permet - Berat and Tepelena!"
Tirana- From the city of roses and traditional jam (gliko), to the museum city of "One on One Windows" lie among millennia of civilizations, legends, traditions and values of hospitality, which "modern waves in time" fortunately have not been able to change.
The "Integrated Urban Regeneration" in Permet and Berat are two of the interventions within the program for "Integrated Urban and Tourism Development" funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Albanian Development Fund .
The proposals presented aim to improve the connection and access between the historic neighborhoods of Mangalem and Gorica, with the area along Osum River and the urban spaces around the Palace of Culture, the City Library and the squares. Meanwhile, in Përmet, is foreseen the rehabilitation of the panoramic views of the city streets; rehabilitation of the City Stone area; development of a footpath on the east bank of the Vjosa, intervention in the historic quarter and improved access to the Church of Leusa.
Furthermore, in the same direction through the "Regional Local Infrastructure" works are proceeding for the project "Reconstruction of internal roads of the castle Ali Pasha Tepelena, the continuation of the Promenade along the entrance to the Castle, Lot II and the rehabilitation of spaces around the castle", in defense of one of important cultural heritage sites and the integration of the surrounding area.
