Tirana- The Program for Integrated Urban and Tourism Development aims to improve urban infrastructure, tourism values, as well as strengthen institutional capacity for local and national economic development of tourism. This investment part of PIUTD is expected to play a long-term role in implementing regional development in line with the new National Territorial Development Strategy.

The upgrading of vehicle access road "Muzak Topia" to Berat castle is funded by World Bank. This road ensures the entry of vehicles into the castle from its northwestern side. Currently works are focused in road substrates, sidewalks, lighting line, backup lines (optical, etc.), as well as walls.
The ADF comes in support of the tourism industry by improving movement for locals and visitors.
