New sport facilities in “Rilindja” school in Xhafzotaj

TIRANA-Works have been completed in the primary school “Rilindja” in the administrative Unit of Xhafzotaj, Shijak municipality. Works carried out in the framework of the Regional Development Program Albania- III Phase aimed to create a multisport field outside the school. The investment area is 900 square meters while the financing value is Euro 57,583.5. Out of this project is expected to benefit approximately 19 thousand inhabitants.

 

 
This intervention has improved the conditions of the environment where 200 pupils do physical education in “Rilindja” school. According to the National Strategy “School as a Community Center” and Shijak Municipality Action Plan, school sports facilities after school hours will be open to the community. Furthermore, besides the outdoor sports the intervention include green and recreational spaces (benches, trees, lighting etc,), staircases, lighting in the field. The total area of 900 square meters and the field are surrounded by fences.
