Work on Saranda staircases has been finalized, meanwhile the project for the promenade is ready

TIRANË – Shkallaret e Sarandës, ripërtëritja e një prej simboleve të qytetit bregdetar shumë i vizituar gjatë sezonit turistik ka përfunduar edhe në detajet e fundit. Katër arteriet komunikuese përfshijnë një hapësirë prej 5,200 m² dhe lidhin qytetin me shëtitoret përgjatë bregut të detit. Shkallaret ishin objekti i parë ku nisi puna në dhjetor të vitit 2017 në kuadër të një pakete ambicioze investimesh prej 13 milionë eurosh. Investimet parashikohen në kuadër të Programit “Për Zhvillimin e Integruar Urban dhe Turizmin” që financohet nga Banka Botërore dhe qeveria shqiptare dhe zbatohet nga Fondit Shqiptar të Zhvillimit.

The project includes interventions in the electrical network system, sewage system and construction of the staircases with white stone and ceramic. In the framework of this project were organized public consultations with representative from local government, urban planning specialists, interest groups, locals, etc.


Meanwhile, the next investment in Saranda is the reconstruction of the promenade "Naim Frashëri", in the city center. Regarding this project were organized public consultations with representatives of local government, interest groups and locals.

The final project will be presented at a public meeting in the coming weeks.The project of “Naim Frasheri" promenade includes the extension of the promenade, recreational spaces, resting benches, greenery and appropriate lighting system.

The study for the mobility and urban development will determine the next interventions in the framework of the “Integrated Urban and Tourism Development” Program.
