Borje Road connects 2000 locals and other residents with Gllobocice in Kosovo
TIRANA-Kosovo and Albania now can be connected through Borje road, where is located the cross border point near Gllobocice village in Kosovo.
The cross border point is only for pedestrians and is used by residents on both sides.
This project is co-financed by governments of both countries. In the Albanian part the road from Borje to the border point is 2.5km long and is financed by the Albanian government through Albanian Development Fund in the frame of the program “Priority Roads Rehabilitation”. In the other part the axis is 1.4 km long and is complete.
This investment has a vital importance for the residents of the village . This village has a specific location, is located about 32 km away from the city of Kukes .
Except the extension of the road, were built structural work, road side channels, substrates and asphalt layers. The road will be equipped with road safety elements, metal side barriers and necessary vertical and horizontal signaling.
