The Albanian Development Fund in accomplishing its mission as a development agency has enjoyed the trust, cooperation and partnership of big international financial organisms which have contributed not only in providing financial support but also in transmitting their expertise and best practices in carrying out internationally funded infrastructure projects.
The World BankThe World Bank, whose member is also Albania since 1991, is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries. The World Bank’s mission is to fight poverty with passion and professionalism for lasting results and to help people help themselves and their environment by providing resources, sharing knowledge, building capacity and forging partnership in the private and public sector. The World Bank is made up of two development institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). The cooperation of the ADF with the World Bank started in 1993 with Rural Poverty Alleviation Project .

Council of Europe Development BankCouncil of Europe Development Bank, whose member is also Albania since June 1999, is a multilateral development bank with a social vocation. Established on 16 April 1956 in order to bring solutions to the problems of refugees, its scope of action has progressively widened to other sectors of action directly contributing to strengthening social cohesion in Europe The cooperation of the ADF with the Council of Europe Development Bank dates back in 1999 with Community Works Project I. CEB has also co-financed “CWP II & III” and the Program “Improvement of the Secondary and Local Roads”.
Norway Trust Account for the Western Balkans (NTA)By an Agreement signed on 19 April 2004 and its Supplementary Agreements, CEB and the Kingdom of Norway have agreed to set up a Trust Account in the CEB for the purpose of financing various project activities that support the social and economic reforms in the Western Balkan countries, with the ultimate objective of helping them to prepare for eventual EU membership. An important part of the partnership with CEB has also been the financial contribution provided by the Norway Trust Account for the technical assistance and capacity building in the framework of “Community Works Project III” and for the technical assistance in monitoring and evaluation of SLRP.

KfW banking groupKfW banking group is a German government-owned development bank (Federal Republic and federal states), based in Frankfurt. KfW Bankengruppe gives impetus to economic, social and ecological development worldwide. It was formed in 1948 after World War II as part of the Marshall Plan
Bashkëpunimi i Fondit Shqiptar me KFW filloi në vitin 1999 me Projektin e Investimeve Sociale I.
KfW applies financial cooperation and provides grants and soft loans for key investments in infrastructure and consulting services in relation to various projects. Cooperation with Albania was launched in 1988. Since then, the German Government has committed about 850 million EUR, more than 50 % thereof for Financial Cooperation implemented by KfW banking group. The European Investment Bank (EIB)The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the bank of the European Union. Established in 1958 under the Treaty of Rome, it operates in the 27 EU Member States and is active in more than 130 other countries. BEI supports the EU’s objectives by lending long term financings for sustainable projects. Besides supporting projects in the Member States, its main lending priorities include financing investments in future Member States of the EU and EU Partner countries. The EIB is active in Albania since 1995 and to date the total financing activity is around EUR 350 million.
